For some reason most of the hits coming to this site are people looking for Beauty Brick hair salon, so I might as well bite the bullet and reveal my favorite secret. I’ve always been fascinated by anime hair, even before anime became “uso”. So I asked my friend, who’s married to a Korean, where to get an authentic Korean haircut in Metro Manila, and she suggested Beauty Brick. And I wasn’t disappointed. Beauty Brick is a one man salon located on Jupiter St. in Makati, beside the building where Red Ribbon is. Inside you will find Mr. Shin, and his army of staff. And this is my favorite part to describe, Mr. Shin is a Korean who can speak Japanese but not English. So he hired a Filipina who can speak Japanese to translate any conversations he might have with his English or Tagalog speaking clients. I love it! Anyway, he gives the most awesome Asian haircuts. The reason why I didn’t really want to share this with the world is that he already has more clients than he can handle. Even if you set an appointment with him, you might still have to wait. I have another strategy of getting a haircut with him, but I won’t reveal it, hehe. Anyway, Mr. Shin rocks and I really would recommend to anybody to get a haircut with him. Hmmm, my hair is starting to look long…
